Field Notes
Greetings,
It’s been a busy week on the farm. We’re still trying to find a rhythm with harvesting and packing for our CSA, online sales, florist sales, and our new market. It’s been challenging to find time to get anything else done around the farm! We’re learning the limits of our labor and trying to figure out how we can make sure everything gets taken care of.
This week we finished up planting dahlias and ginger, and prepared beds in the field for a late succession of tomatoes and peppers. We’ve got thousands of veggie and flower seedlings ready to plant, and hope to get most of them in the ground in the next week. The farm is brimming with plants and everything looks great! We’ve got food and flowers growing in almost every single established bed on the farm, and we’re turning over beds as quickly as possible so that we can grow more!
Thank you to all who came out to the pop-up market at Johnny’s last week. It was an extraordinary success, and we’re excited to say that we’ll be doing it again this weekend! Because the market was so popular, the organizers have decided to open the market an hour earlier.
Come see us at our pop-up market outside of Johnny’s in Roland Park on Sunday, May 31st, from 8:00-11:00 am.
