Two Boots Farm

A family run farm and floral design studio in Hampstead, Maryland. We grow a wide variety of cut flowers and produce. We also have over 100 cultivated pawpaw fruit trees. We use ecologically sustainable practices so that future generations can continue to grow in healthy soil.

Blooms and Seedlings Soon to Be

Greetings!

As the snow collects outside, we’ve been spending most of our time working on the barn, where we’re building an exquisite new floral studio/workshop space. We’ve also begun seeding in our greenhouse, and, as is usual in the winter months, we’re tending to computer work. We’ve got so many plans for Spring and we’re looking forward to what’s to come!

This year we are offering several different flower CSA share options, including an early season tulip share, a Spring bouquet share, and full season bouquets! Though we may not have blooms ready in time for Valentine’s Day, these subscriptions are the perfect gift for the seasonal flower lover in your life. Our CSA pickup locations this year are Motzi Bread in Baltimore, and on the farm, in Hampstead.

We’ve spent a lot of time planning our 2021 seedling sales and we’re so excited to share what we’ve got up our sleeves!

This Spring we’re offering curated collections of seedlings for your home or community garden. We have both cut flower (spring and summer) and vegetable collections (including a patio collection) available for pre-order. These collections consist of tried and true varieties that we grow at Two Boots, and include detailed instructions for growing and harvesting. We pride ourselves on the quality of our transplants, and are excited to share these with the world. If you’re a fan of cut flowers, you’ll be especially excited by our cutting garden collections, which will include specialty items like lisianthus and eucalyptus! The garden collections are great for beginner gardeners who feel overwhelmed by the options available at garden centers.

Of course, if you’re the kind of gardener who already has specific varieties in mind for their garden, worry not! We’ll be posting our individual seedlings on the website in the coming days. As always, we will have a wide selection of cut flower, vegetable, and herb seedlings.

Demand for seeds has skyrocketed this year, and with supply chains stretched thin by the pandemic, many seeds are in short supply, and seed companies have had to limit their sales to home gardeners in order to ensure that production farmers can access seed. Ordering seedlings directly from farmers ensures that you’ll have high quality transplants come May.

We hope that you’re staying warm and enjoying the snow. Happy garden planning!

Sincerely,

Amelia & the Two Boots crew
