Hello,
We’re continuing to power through this season and yet another busy week. Every time we think things may slow down, we realize we need to pick up the pace! Fortunately, there’s an extraordinary amount of beauty to be found around the farm. Each day brings the opportunity to witness butterflies darting through the zinnia beds and goldfinches resting on the swiss chard, and these moments leave us feeling grounded. It’s a challenge to balance all of the stresses of farming. As farmers, we are on the front lines of climate change, facing changing and unpredictable weather patterns that drastically affect our work. Heat waves, periods of extensive rainfall, and drought all take a toll on our crops, and we face this while trying to run successful businesses in a complicated world. And of course, no matter what, there’s always work to be done on a farm. We relish the few quiet moments we get among the flowers and the creatures visiting our fields.
We will be at the market at Johnny’s this weekend. We are grateful for you ongoing support and look forward to seeing you there. The market is Sunday from 8:00-11:00 am.
