Happy Frostmas!
Greetings, farm friends!
We received frost two nights in a row and now our field grown flowers are done for the season. It’s bittersweet, as always. This was an incredible year for us- our crops were gorgeous, our crew was extraordinary, and everything just ran so smoothly. How lucky we are to do this work each day, surrounded by trees, bird songs, and beautiful crops. Now we are ready to slow down, rest, and plan the season to come.
Tulips are in the ground, ranunculus is sprouting, and we’ve begun to dig up the dahlia tubers that we intend to divide over the winter. Friday will be Jane’s last day (we’ll miss her so much!) and everyone else is winding down. We’re looking forward to spending winter with our family and friends, relaxing and recharding. Until then, we’ll keep chugging along with tidying up loose ends around the farm! Still on the to-do list: setting up row cover in the fields and tunnel, cutting back woody perennials, planting ranunculus and poppies, and arranging flowers for one final wedding!
Wreath pre-orders are live!
Pre-orders are still open for our ever-popular winter wreaths. We’re offering three colorways and the option to add pinecones for those who want the full-on winter effect. Each wreath is unique and designed with care. We’ve been gathering flowers all year to make them! These wreaths last all winter hanging on your door outside.
Interested in participating in a wreath workshop? Join us on the farm on December 9th!
No market for us this week!
We will return to the Baltimore Farmers Market in November for one day only, November 19th.
We’re also planning to attend the Station North Holiday Market again this year— details to come!
Thanks for reading, and enjoy your weekend,
