Happy New Year from Two Boots Farm

Greetings!

Quiet, foggy morning on the farm

It’s been quite a while since our last update, and all is quiet on the farm these days.

We're settling into our winter routines of computer work, moving around row covers for the hardy annuals, and relaxing as much as possible.

We've ordered seeds for the coming season, and we're preparing to begin seeding for our annual seedling sale! As much as things slow down on the farm this time of year, they never really come to a full stop. There's truly always something to do. Weeds continue to pop up in our high tunnels, there’s some light planting to do, and at some point we’ll have to cut back the forest of eucalyptus that’s taken over one of our tunnels. Still, it’s nice to know that not everything has to be done at once. Living life without hurrying is so peaceful!

As we look toward the 2025 season, we're anticipating changes on the farm. With that, it's time that I (Amelia) let you know that, after 7 years at Two Boots, I’m planning to leave the farm this summer and we're looking to hire my replacement. I'll have more to say as I reflect on my time here over the coming months, but here's what Elisa has to say on the matter:

Our Farm Manager, Amelia, is moving on after seven years at Two Boots. During her time here, she has been instrumental in helping grow the business and in making our farm profitable. Her organizational skills have established the frameworks and procedures so we can grow abundant, healthy flowers. She has always complimented my wild, unfocused brain by finding the methods to bring it all into focus.

Throughout her tenure, Amelia has led with her heart, ensuring that our crew members are cared for and valued. She has truly shaped Two Boots Farm into what it is today. While we are sad to see her go, we are also excited for her future. Amelia hopes to attend graduate school for Landscape Architecture, and we look forward to watching her learn and grow in this new endeavor.

With that said we are hiring three positions on our farm for 2025 for a full time Farm Manager, part time delivery driver and part time farm hand. Please follow the link below to learn more about joining our team and how you can apply.

We're hiring! Find job descriptions at this link.

We’ve had a couple dustings of snow, and hope for more to come this winter.

Our 2025 Plant Sale goes live in just two weeks, on January 13th!  As always, we will have a fantastic selection of vegetables, herbs, and flowers available for you to shop.

Stay tuned for an email with a link to the plant store and more information about pickup dates and locations.

We’re so excited for another year of growing seedlings for your gardens!

Wishing you all a happy and healthy New Year.

Thank you for your continued support; we appreciate you immensely!
