Frosty Friday
Greetings, friends!
The time has finally come. It looks like we’ll get our first frost on Friday night, and come Saturday morning, things may look quite different on the farm. We spent today running through the fields, attempting to harvest every last flower we could. This point in the season is always bittersweet. We’re relieved to be out of the thick of the season, but we’ll miss cutting buckets full of gorgeous blooms each day. We’re fortunate to have had an incredible growing season, and we’re feeling proud of our work and deeply satisfied, albeit tired. Now, we’ll dedicate a bit more time to dreaming of how to do things even better next year.
This week at the JFX market we will have arugula, ginger, head lettuce, radishes, hakurei turnips, shishito peppers, spring mix, bouquets, bunches of flowers, and wreaths.
