Two Boots Farm

A family run farm and floral design studio in Hampstead, Maryland. We grow a wide variety of cut flowers and produce. We also have over 100 cultivated pawpaw fruit trees. We use ecologically sustainable practices so that future generations can continue to grow in healthy soil.

Frosty Friday

Greetings, friends!

The time has finally come. It looks like we’ll get our first frost on Friday night, and come Saturday morning, things may look quite different on the farm. We spent today running through the fields, attempting to harvest every last flower we could. This point in the season is always bittersweet. We’re relieved to be out of the thick of the season, but we’ll miss cutting buckets full of gorgeous blooms each day. We’re fortunate to have had an incredible growing season, and we’re feeling proud of our work and deeply satisfied, albeit tired. Now, we’ll dedicate a bit more time to dreaming of how to do things even better next year.

The entire crew is enamored with these perennial mums. We’ll have bunches available at the market this weekend!

Cover crop is always a welcome sight! We’ve been hard at work pulling crops and seeding cover crop recently. Wednesday’s rain was desperately needed, and we can tell our cover crops were pleased to see it!
