Two Boots Farm

A family run farm and floral design studio in Hampstead, Maryland. We grow a wide variety of cut flowers and produce. We also have over 100 cultivated pawpaw fruit trees. We use ecologically sustainable practices so that future generations can continue to grow in healthy soil.

The Season Begins!

Greetings, friends!

Our full crew started work on Monday and we’ve had a busy and productive week. We’ve enjoyed the warm weather, and the plants seem quite happy with it as well! We’re finally harvesting ranunculus and butterfly ranunculus again, and we can barely keep up with the twice daily tulip harvest.

It is a joy to be filling the cooler with flowers once more, although I must admit that it’s been a bit overwhelming. The hot weather brought on large harvests fast, and we weren’t entirely prepared for what it would look like. Fortunately, our crew has been assisting with the harvest while also cranking out new plantings, mulching the vast majority of our perennials, and weeding every inch of the farm. Even if we weren’t quite ready for all that the early Spring threw our way, we’re making our way back in the saddle.

All of our crops look healthy, and a we’ve got a lot of great things in store for the season.

Beds prepped and ready for planting!

Spring, Summer, Fall, Full Season, and Dahlia Flower Shares are still available! Our Flower Shares are a great way to support the farm and bring a bit of natural beauty into your home each week.

We offer pickups on the farm, at Motzi Bread in Baltimore, and at The Wine Merchant in Timonium.

We love offering Flower Shares and we have some truly stunning blooms in store for you this year!

Ordering for our 2023 Plant Sale is open until April 24th! Spring is in full swing, and it’s time to get your garden ready. If you haven’t already started planning this year’s garden, do so now!

We still have a fantastic selection of plants available to order, including a selection of great landscaping plants and plenty of container garden options. Plants will be ready for pickup in early May— we will contact you with details in advance of the pickup date. We’re offering 6 different pickup sites for your convenience, with locations in Baltimore, DC, Silver Spring, and Carroll County.

If you prefer to purchase your seedlings in person, we’ve got plenty of options for you. As always, we’ll bring seedlings to the Baltimore Farmers Market through late May, and we’ll have them available at Flower Mart, Cylburn Market Day, and our Mother’s Day on-farm plant sale as well!

We spent Tuesday morning giving the crew a full farm tour and getting to know the myriad of storage spaces on the farm
